Job Description
Our client is seeking a Cybersecurity and Information Assurance Specialist who will provide technical expertise in determining information assurance and cybersecurity standards to a homeland security customer in Washington, DC. The specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing security standards and procedures, recommending security solutions to meet customer requirements, and ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of information assets.
Determine and implement information assurance and cybersecurity standards and procedures.
Recommend and support the deployment of security solutions to fulfill customer requirements.
Identify, report, and resolve cybersecurity violations.
Analyze user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands to establish and satisfy information assurance and security requirements.
Design, develop, engineer, and implement solutions that meet security requirements.
Integrate and implement computer system security solutions.
Provide engineering and technical support in solving information assurance and cybersecurity-related technical problems.
Perform vulnerability and risk analyses of computer systems and applications across all phases of the system development life cycle.
Requirements:
Proven experience in information assurance and cybersecurity.
Familiarity with security standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Ability to analyze and resolve complex security issues.
Experience in systems analysis, functional analysis, and requirements analysis in a specialized IT area.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teams.
Preferred experience in engineering and technical support within the IT security domain.
