Standard Hours 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM; Flexible Schedule. Eligible to work alternative hours per department needs and supervisor approval.

Overall Descriptions of the Position:

An Investigator I at the Gori Law Firm will locate and interview potential witnesses to support our litigation teams. They provide updates and information on potential witnesses, coworkers, family members, and anyone else with valuable information relevant to the case.

Skills & Abilities:

Beginner to Competent knowledge and demonstrated skill set in: MS Office Word, Excel, and Adobe Reading and processing information to extract key information and facts from online documents and records Communicating effectively in person and on the phone with reluctant clientele Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Self-motivated and well-organized Punctual and predictable attendance Job duties must be regularly performed in the office. Prior experience or knowledge in the following preferred: Investigation Law Enforcement Customer Service Industrial Manufacturing or other industries using asbestos containing products and/or equipment

Position Duties (including, but not limited to):

Research potential leads through online and paper sources such as directories, job sites, company records, etc. Post ads and reply to individuals to determine validity of lead Interview potential witnesses to find additional leads and information previously unknown Gather facts and take notes from verbal testimony Take notes and document information to be used in litigation cases Compose letters to clients if no in-person or phone contact can be made Create record of and document calls, emails, and any other communication with clients

Education, Certificates and/or Licenses:

GED or high school equivalent Must pass criminal history background check
