Electrical Superintendent Job Summary: The Electrical Superintendent will lead and manage all electrical construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications. The role involves coordinating with various project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients. Key Responsibilities: Project Oversight: Supervise electrical installation and construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications. Team Management: Lead and manage a team of electricians and subcontractors, providing guidance and support as needed. Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies. Conduct regular safety meetings and audits. Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work performed, ensuring it meets industry standards and project requirements. Address any issues promptly. Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating with other trades to minimize delays and ensure timely completion. Budget Management: Assist in tracking project expenses and managing budgets. Report any discrepancies or changes to the project manager. Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for electrical-related matters on-site, facilitating communication between stakeholders. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues during the construction process, making decisions that align with project goals. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily reports, change orders, and safety documentation. Training and Development: Provide training and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety awareness. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or an associate degree in electrical technology preferred. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices. Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in project management software is a plus. Certifications: Relevant electrical licenses or certifications are preferred. Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various weather conditions and at heights. Capable of lifting and moving heavy materials as needed. Work Environment: Construction site with potential exposure to noise, dust, and other environmental conditions. This role is crucial for successfully executing electrical projects, requiring a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.
