Our client in the financial industry is seeking a motivated Entry Level Accountant to join their team. This presents an excellent opportunity for career growth within the company.

Summary:

The role entails working across multiple functions within the servicing department, covering tasks such as invoice payments, reporting, transfers, boarding, deboarding, cashiering, quality assurance (QA), accounting, and IT.

Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures. Coordinate inter and intra-departmental activities, resolving inquiries or issues related to loan documentation. Respond to inquiries promptly, referring them to the appropriate department or personnel. Assume responsibility for special projects, including gathering data and preparing reports for senior management, audits, and other personnel. Process, solve, and address complex customer transactions, problems, or inquiries. Answer telephones and provide assistance to investors as required. Monitor investor account details for non-payments and delayed payments. Collaborate closely with investors to research and resolve queries related to billings. Process and post credit card transactions from investors. Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities. Navigate the servicing system to ensure timely and accurate posting of borrower payments. Monitor bank accounts to ensure appropriate balances. Provide support in answering telephones and addressing inquiries.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong knowledge of accounting for mortgage and/or financial industries.
