Overview: Supervises and monitors the overall quality care of the individuals in the agency by ensuring compliance with agency policies and procedures and OPWDD regulations.

Responsibilities: Primary duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

Responsible for the supervision, administration, and the on-going implementation of the quality assurance program for AHRC Nassau, Citizens Options Unlimited, Inc. and the Brookville Center for Childrens Services Childrens Residential Program. Ensure all programs maintain compliance with regulations applicable to the incident reporting process and Human Rights policy and procedures. Supervises and ensures oversight of the overall operation of the incident reporting process for all programs within AHRC Nassau and Citizens Options Unlimited, Inc., as well as within the Brookville Center for Childrens Services Childrens Residential Program. Serves as Co-Chairperson for the Human Rights Committee for AHRC Nassau, Citizens Options Unlimited, Inc. and the Brookville Center for Children Services Childrens Residential Program. Responsible for monitoring of the Committee to ensure the use of adequate safeguards and the protection of each persons rights and that rights are not restricted without due process. Serves as Chairperson for the Brookville Center for Childrens Services School Age and preschool programs Incident Review Committee Oversees the AHRC Nassau, Citizens Options Unlimited, Inc and Brookville Center for Childrens Services Incident Review Committees, and ensures regulatory compliance is maintained. Submits the Annual Trends Analysis and monthly reports for review by the Board of Directors. Responsible for the development, maintenance, and revision of agency policies and procedures by interpreting and documenting new regulations to ensure the implementation and development of policies based on the current regulations outlined by OPWDD. Serves as the HIPPA Privacy Officer for AHRC Nassau, Citizens Options Unlimited, Inc. and the Brookville Center for Children Services Childrens Residential Program. Provides technical assistance as needed to all Agency programs. Serves as CQL / COMPASS Factor leader for Protection from Abuse/Neglect. Performs additional responsibilities as requested by supervisor. Ensure that work-related safety procedures are in place and are being adhered to by staff. Observance of an unsafe act or a potentially hazardous work environment must be immediately reported to supervisor and/or safety committee.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Human Services, Health Care Administration, or other appropriate degree. 10+ years experience in health / human services, quality improvement and incident reporting activities. Experience developing policy / procedures and reports. Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills. Prior Supervisory experience required.
