SUMMARY

Stampede Ventures, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking a qualified, highly motivated individual with USACE Construction experience. The candidate will be performing all facets of the Bering Straits East Coast model to include quality control management, submittal tracking, daily reporting, communicating deficiencies to the customer, running multiple sites simultaneously, and other various tasks as assigned. This position is in support of a current contract that supports a project at Fort Myer, Arlington, VA location. Depending on workload, this position may be extended to additional contracts as needed.

The Quality Control Manager (QCM) is responsible for the Development, execution and maintenance of a fully effective Quality Control organization as required by our contract with the Client and Subcontractors and as further defined by the Contractors Quality Control Plan (CQCP), Health/Safety/Quality program and in accordance with Companys policies and procedures; and performs additional managerial responsibilities as necessary or assigned.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for overall project quality and reviews all trade contractors means and methods in accordance with project contract documents with the Project Superintendent.
  • Reviews and analyzes submittal data on the product specifications, scopes of work, plans and engineer reports to determine the finished product meets the quality and reliability expectancy of the Client. Maintains submittal logs onsite.
  • Assists the project management team with the RFI process to ensure that all RFIs are properly and timely logged and that the information requests are reviewed and then forwarded to the appropriate people.
  • Ensures testing programs will be conducted throughout construction to verify that all materials and installations are as specified; in addition to mandatory "milestone" inspections or tests, the QC shall monitor all aspects of the construction daily to verify contract compliance.
  • Plans, coordinates, and directs the quality control program as designed, to ensure continuous production of projects are consistent with established standards by performing the QCM duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
  • Performs random project site audits for all stages in the production process and inspects materials for specifications and contract compliance.
  • Interacts effectively with the USACE Quality Control personnel to ensure.
  • Previous Federal construction experience

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Have existing relationships with Federal government customers in the Southeast Region
  • Previous experience working with 8(a) companies.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications

  • Six years experience as a Quality Control Manager on Federal or commercial projects
  • Must be US Citizen
  • USACE Quality Control Certification
  • OSHA 30 Certification (can be obtained after employment)
  • Current or ability to get a security clearance is preferred.
  • Current certifications for First Aid and CPR

  • Valid Drivers License

WORK ENVIRONMENT

During visits to job sites, the employee may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Limited supervisory responsibilities will be required for this position.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work as a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
