BANQUET HOUSECLEANER JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Williamsburg Lodge and Conference Center: This guest and conference facility combines the ambiance of an American folk-art motif with contemporary comforts and conveniences. Many of the 323 guest rooms feature cypress paneling, hardwood floors and rocking chairs. Families and conference attendees appreciate the spaciousness of the rooms in the Tazewell Wing.

Set up and break down tables, chairs, risers, podiums, and flags for meeting and banquet functions indoors and outdoors

Put linens on tables

Refresh meeting rooms with water, pens, pads, etc.

Perform other duties as required to exceed guests' expectations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Final candidates are to present in person to the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation Employment Office a valid driver's license and an original Motor Vehicle Record transcript (MVR). The MVR is to be no older than 30 days, issued by the same state as the drivers license, and must cover the past seven years. New residents must obtain a Virginia drivers license within 30 days.

At least 3 months experience in a restaurant, banquet, or room set-up position

Must have and maintain a valid Virginia Driver's License

Ability to (1) follow oral and written instructions; (2) maintain standards listed below; (3) read and comprehend a set-up diagram; (4) exceed guest expectations

Good public contact skills

Physical requirements include, but are not limited to: (1) lifting up to 75 pounds frequently; (2) heavy cleaning; (3) high and low dusting

Must be available to work all shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical requirements include, but are not limited to: (1) performing heavy cleaning; high and low dusting; (2) transporting objects weighing up to 60 pounds; (3) a great amount of walking in all types of weather and (4) lifting, standing and bending up to 8+ hours daily.
