Proficiency with kernel build systems, version control (git), and open-source workflows. Ability to analyze and resolve complex system issues, including kernel panics and hardware faults. Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and support. Detailed Ideal Candidate Profile We're seeking a highly experienced Software Development Engineer with 5-7 years of focused experience in low-level development. The ideal candidate will be an expert in Linux kernel and device driver development (C, C++), capable of hitting the ground running to support and maintain core system components. You'll need deep expertise in operating system internals and low-level debugging to troubleshoot complex hardware compatibility and performance issues. This role requires someone who is independent, proactive, and can effectively manage priorities in a fast-paced environment while ensuring system stability and performance. Team / Reporting Structure Context The team's primary function is focused on applying advanced principles of computer science and engineering to the design, development, support, and maintenance of the Linux kernel and device drivers. The role involves working on low-level software to enable hardware functionality, system stability, and performance across a variety of platforms.
