Join to apply for the Accounting Coordinator role at Better Living Foster Care & Family Services. The Accounting Coordinator, a member of the Business Office Staff, is a key position supporting the Accounting Department and the Director of Finance by preparing and submitting invoices timely and accurately, tracking submitted invoices, applying payments, following up on discrepancies and ensuring invoices are collected timely. Additional responsibilities will include reconciling accounts receivable, maintaining client files, recording expenditures, maintaining accounts payable, assisting with processing of payroll, auditing tasks, and other general accounting duties. Education / Certification Requirements Associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred Two years of general accounting experience Must be at least 21 years of age Understanding of basic accounting principles and concepts Additional Expectations Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook computer programs Proficient in financial management software (Quickbooks preferred) and payroll processing Accounts receivable (A/R) and Accounts payable (A/P) management and processing Excellent writing skills and computer skills Organized, detail oriented, accurate, and time conscious Excellent verbal communication and listening skills Conflict resolution Legal compliance Building relationships / rapport Teamwork and coordination Pass a background check (Sex Offender Registry, Central Register for Adult and Child Protective Services, DMV driving record, Internet search, State Patrol, Medicare/Medicaid Exclusion check, proper out of state checks; regular updates required as a condition of ongoing employment) Hours Full-time 40 hours/week Monday-Friday 8-5 Seniority Level Entry level Employment Type Full-time Job Function Accounting, Auditing and Finance Industries Health and Human Services Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Better Living Foster Care & Family Services by 2x. #J-18808-Ljbffr
