Mechanical Engineer will work on the electric vehicle safety regulations and standards validation and verification on Off Highway product.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Develop battery-electric and/or hybrid-electric powertrain systems for Off-highway vehicle applications.
Lead project-specific safety (e.g., electric shock) risk assessment/risk reduction reviews, applicable industry safety standards reviews, and fire engineering/mitigation reviews.
Interface with electrification systems program management, design, and PV&V team to ensure delivery of safety requirements, but will also interface with the vehicle development and product safety teams to review electrification system integration.
Support updating/revision of the vehicle safety standards for VC-A and VC-B electrification systems to promote common design requirements and guidelines.
Implementation of international product safety standards for electric vehicles or high voltage electric systems (e.g., ISO 6469, ISO 16230, ISO 14990) and conducting product safety risk assessment/risk reduction reviews (e.g., ISO 12100).

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering with 8 years of experience OR Master’s in Mechanical Engineering with 6 years of experience.

Required Skills:

Interface with electrification systems program management, and design.
