The Logistics Analyst will oversee supply chain processes and product delivery by tracking and reviewing invoices, shipment status, and delivery route activity.

My client is a national foodservice packaging distributor and manufacturer with distribution centers all through out the US. They've been centrally located in the LA area for several decades and are rapidly growing in size, scope and product portfolio

Description

  • Collects, interprets, and analyzes various types of logistics data including availability of product, reliability of transport and delivery, and other data related to product supply chain management, sourcing, and distribution.
  • Maintains database(s) of logistics information.
  • Monitor inventory levels companywide to ensure adequate safety stock placement in warehouse locations.
  • Track product flow from origin to delivery via web based TMS logistics systems, and other appropriate methods of monitoring inventory and shipment vehicles.
  • Construct and coordinate transfer schedules between FTL transfer carriers and Operations teams at shipping/receiving facilities.
  • Responsible for construction and release of interbranch inventory transfers from Hub locations to satellite warehouses.
  • Monitors warehouse facilities to evaluate inventory transactions such as receiving, storage, shipping, and inventory integrity.
  • Support daily Logistics Team activities for domestic and international shipments (Canada)
  • Knowledge of International shipping documents: (CI-Commercial Invoice, USMCA-United States Mexico Canada Agreement)
  • Broad application and understanding of HTS codes and Incoterms.
  • Review logistics processes and procedures; identifies, recommends, and implements improvements to maximize delivery efficiency while minimizing costs.
  • Reviews and analyzes transportation costs, parts procurement and delivery processes, inventory issues such as back orders, and other fulfillment metrics (KPI's).
  • Uses analytic methods and tools to understand, predict, and/or control logistics operations and processes.
  • Work closely with Operations to identify and develop opportunity for continuous improvement.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Job Offer

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field required.
  • Previous experience in logistics field required.
