Are you based in Boston, Massachusetts USA and willing to travel between the old life science manufacturing site and new pharmaceutical facility to oversee the successful relocation/shut down of the old facility to the new as and when required?

My client is supporting a top 5 Pharmaceutical Company with their site relocation and immediately needs an expert Relocation Project Manager to close down the old pharmaceutical plant and transition all the laboratory workspace to the new site.
Reporting to the Global Program Manager as the Specialist Pharmaceutical Site Relocation Project Manager you will receive a high-level plan that you will then be expected to flesh out and detail a schedule of works to transition all the facilities, assets and people with the existing lab work space to the new site to time and budget.
You will understand the high-level relocation plan, meet all the internal stakeholders and third-party asset vendors/equipment maintainers, undertake a SWAT analysis and build out a detailed relocation plan to present to the senior management team for sign off. Having secured sign off you will project manage the critical path to successful close down as well as managing the spend agreed within the scope of works to be undertaken.
You will hold regular relocation project review meetings with the client’s Senior Pharmaceutical Real Estate and Scientific Services Director, providing project reports and status updates to ensure excellent communication is maintained at all phases of the project.
You will be an excellent communicator and project manager with the ability to execute through matrix management and influence others to get things done. You will be highly autonomous as you will be solely accountable and responsible for the complete end to end plant shut down and pharmaceutical plant relocation project. You will have a Prince 2 Project Management Qualification or equivalent certification in project management and be an excellent leader of people, someone who can manage third parties to achieve the end goal at the right time, every time to deliver this project.
You will have been a Project Leader of a major Pharmaceutical Plant shut down and relocation previously. This is a never been done before, golden opportunity to project lead a Pharmaceutical Plant relocation of this magnitude and scale across all General Lab Services, technical Laboratory Services and Laboratory Instrument Services.
