IT Technician

Tommy's is looking for a motivated, qualified, self-starter with a degree in Information Systems, Networking, Information Security, or a related experience that has an aptitude for troubleshooting, customer service and ticket management. This role will sit on the Information Technology team, and as an IT Technician, you will serve as a vital part of the organization when it comes to solving problems, both technical and operational, with solid interpersonal skills to be able to work directly with customers of any level of technology awareness and all levels of the organization.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Microsoft 365 product administrator - Exchange, Identity, Teams, SharePoint, Intune
  • Device administration and support - Windows 10/11, MacOS, iOS, Android, printers
  • Service Desk - Contribute to, maintain, track, manage, and execute ticket requests
  • User Asset Administration - Auditing and updating user licenses, devices
  • Cloud services administrator - Jira, Bluebeam, Solidworks, NetSuite, Adobe, Zendesk
  • Remotely troubleshoot issues via calls, shared screens, quick assist
  • Work and collaborate as part of the IT Team daily and meet regularly on collective projects
  • Document brief guides, instructions, and general communications for departmental or company-wide use
  • Perform other technology related duties as requested
Position Qualifications & Candidate Attributes:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in information systems, Information Security, or related field/experience
  • 2+ years of help desk, support analyst, or technician experience preferred
  • Tech savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Process-oriented and strong collaborator, with the ability to communicate well
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to multitask and prioritize workload
  • Highly adaptable with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; ability to exercise good judgment and make sound data-backed decisions
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency
  • Views user service and care as high priority; exhibits a positive can-do attitude
  • Displays a strong initiative and drive to identify gaps and fill them
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This job operates in a professional office environment. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and operates primarily indoors with limited to no travel expectation.

To successfully perform the essential functions of this job, team member must be able to:
  • Ability to work and commute in all weather conditions.
  • Drive between company locations as needed while on job.
  • Frequently stand and work in a fast-paced environment where they will often be multitasking.
  • Able to move about inside car wash
  • Work with heavy and technical equipment, go up heights on ladder
  • Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
  • Able to effectively communicate, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself and exchange information.
  • Able to walk, bend, twist, turn, stoop, climb steps, reach with hands
  • Tolerate vibrating tools and louder than normal work environment at times.
  • Frequently stand and walk for most of each shift.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds.
