Job DescriptionResponsible for cleaning and maintaining College facilities, classrooms, offices, common areas, and restrooms.ResponsibilitiesProvide custodial services for Harper College facilities.Cleans and maintains the College facilities, buildings, offices, classrooms, restrooms and common areas.Performs custodial duties to include vacuuming, sweeping, scrubbing, dust mopping and wet mopping floors, furniture dusting, cleaning and replenishing restrooms supplies, emptying and cleaning waste receptacles, cleaning whiteboards, cleaning windows and walls, cleaning restrooms and other facilities as assigned, cleaning elevators and stairwells, and maintaining custodial supplies and equipmentQualificationsMinimum Acceptable Qualifications:Education: High school education or equivalent.Experience: Six months of janitorial/housekeeping/ custodial experience is required. Knowledge of cleaning methods, material, and equipment. Must have the necessary skills to do the following: vacuum, wet/dry vacuum, carpet extraction, shampooing, stripping and waxing of floors.Licensing:Valid Illinois Drivers LicenseAbout UsWe are Harper College...the college in your community.The College was established by referendum in 1965 and opened September 1967.
