**Description**

Woodcraft Industries (A Quanex Company), a manufacturer of cabinet doors, is seeking people with strong work ethic to become part of our manufacturing team. The Forklift Operator will operate industrial truck(s) to transport materials to and from trucks, work areas, machines and loading docks in a safe and efficient manner to meet production requirements. Industrial truck may consist of forklift, order picker, battery operated hand jacks, etc..

New Hires are eligible for a $1,250 bonus throughout their first year We conduct pre-employment and random drug tests which include marijuana. Shift starts at 5am. Pay depends on experience.

* Receives job assignments, instructions and related documentation from supervisor/team lead.

* Maintains the work area in a neat and orderly condition in compliance with 5S standards.

* Follows all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines; and notifies the supervisor/team lead of any existing or potential safety issues.

* Delivers materials to appropriate work centers or staging areas in order to maintain production.

* Pulls/stocks materials in racks as required.

* Loads/unloads trucks as required.

* Assists in physical inventory as needed. Enters inventory into the computer as needed.

* Follows all standard operating procedures and notifies the supervisor/team lead of potential procedural improvements.

* Assists in other work areas when the workload permits or requires.

* Promotes teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers.

* Accurately, thoroughly, and legibly completes all documentation related to this position; i.e., production reports, accurate time keeping, etc.

**Qualifications:**

* High school education or equivalent preferred

* Previous experience driving propane or diesel forklift preferred

* At least 6 months experience working in a production, manufacturing or warehouse environment

* Ability to perform repetitive work requiring high levels of concentration

* Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly

* Displays a positive attitude and a strong desire to learn and grow

* Ability to work in fast paced environment

* Ability to pass OSHA required testing

Manufacturing staff frequently work overtime; work environment is in a manufacturing facility, and involves standing for the duration of the shift. While most lifting involves manageable pieces and moderate weights, it is common to handle large, awkward materials weighing up to 40 lbs. Forklift Operators also complete support tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
