We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized, tech-savvy, quality-obsessed individual with network and application experience from the wireless industry for the role of QA Engineer for Value Added Services Apps. Together... with a small team of other QA Engineers, you will report to our Head of VAS Product Development. What you'll be doing As a QA Engineer for Value Added Services apps, you will be evaluating and certifying application functionality across the DISH application portfolio. You will:Serve as the quality assurance engineer within the On-Device VAS team, providing deep technical knowledge of VAS integrations, Android/iOS product architectures, and testing requirements; Define processes to empower the On-Device VAS Product Development team to become the best in the business; Be part of a larger Retail Wireless Product Development team which validates products from concept through production, working with internal and external customers. Specifics Coordinate with Retail Wireless VAS Portfolio team to understand DISH roadmap for new and retired VAS offerings and roadmaps; Download, secure, and catalog all software versions from the VAS providers; Identify, define and execute applicable test cases for regression testing for all new software versions from VAS providers against existing portfolio devices; Identify and execute applicable test cases for new product testing for any new launched devices; Log all application- or service-specific issues with the VAS providers using the agreed upon defect tracking process and monitor troubleshooting and remediation through delivery; Support VAS Technical Leadership with new technology trial execution, as needed; Make strong contributions to the product and feature roadmap from a quality perspective; Engage with peers in developing the roadmap for new technologies and capabilities; Develop test tools, frameworks, and methodologies to deliver best-in-class product solutions; Provide input into technology roadmap activities. Skills, Experience and Requirements BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with proficiency in the English language; 3years of experience in mobile VAS testing and certification including system integration, new product introduction, and lifecycle management; 3years of experience in helpful tools for VAS certification; Prior experience with on-device value added services certification and launch is required; Prior involvement in wireless standards forums is a plus.
