Overview

The Account Director functions as the senior representative of the agency on a given piece of business. They are responsible for developing close relationships with top client management and for proper servicing of the account(s) under his/her jurisdiction. They bear final responsibility for the agency's recommendations and performance and, together with creative and strategy leadership, are responsible for the marketing strategy and advertising product delivered by the agency.

The Account Director works with the Group Account Director and the head of the Account team in coordinating personnel, planning and administrative functions with them. You will lead the planning and execution of account planning and client initiatives, while building successful, growing relationships with clients. Most often the Account Director oversees one or more employees, and will be responsible for ensuring clear communications and deliverables of those account teams while demonstrating accurate and proactive account leadership and making sure agency standards are met.

Responsibilities

Client Experience Management: Lead the development and execution of comprehensive account strategies, including quarterly and annual business planning. Be responsible for leading the client with business, operational, and advertising ideas and for having a long-term vision about the client's business. Team Leadership and Development:

Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the client team, department and agency. Embrace the agency's corporate position and actively support its existence. Demonstrated a "what's next" attitude and reinforce this same mindset with all staff. Provide leadership and mentorship to the account management team. Train and mentor direct reports in supporting agency growth goals. Conduct regular training, professional development, and performance reviews for themselves and any reports. Strategic Planning and Campaign Oversight:

Oversee the strategic planning and execution of advertising campaigns. Manage to achieve goals and to achieve the client's business objectives, providing measurable proof of the agency's contribution. Financial Management:

Manage the financial health of key client accounts, including budgeting and forecasting. Identify and execute organic growth strategies for existing clients. Collaborate with project management, finance and leadership teams to ensure profitability and project efficiency. Client Campaign Development and Communication:

Lead client campaign and digital experience development, providing clear and compelling communication of campaign strategies, results, and recommendations. Effectively communicate complex concepts and strategies to clients and internal stakeholders. Collaborate with all internal teams to develop persuasive and visually appealing presentations. Issue Resolution and Crisis Management:

Address and resolve escalated client concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner. Proactively identify potential challenges and develop strategies for resolution. Collaborate with internal teams to find solutions to complex issues. Market Analysis and Industry Insights:

Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics. Know the client's business so well that they view your input as essential to any business decision they make by providing proactive insights and recommendations based on market analysis. Contribute to thought leadership within the industry through participation in conferences, events, and publications. Agency Corporate Responsibilities:

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, business or a related field. MBA is a plus. Extensive experience in account management within an advertising agency or related industry. Proven leadership and team management skills. Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.

Hybrid Policy

Employees are expected to follow a 50/50 (20 hours weekly in office) hybrid working policy. Each employee will be responsible to meet the weekly hours in office guidelines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
