Insight Global is hiring a Make Ready Engineering Manager to sit in Raleigh, NC for one of our large telecommunications and engineering clients. This position is responsible for assisting the Department Manager with all make ready projects including project tracking, documentation of quality control, inspection coordination, and working effectively with project management, subcontractors, vendors, and clients. Prospective candidates must be detailed and strong in maintaining project schedules, budgets and providing continuous engineering solutions.

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

l Performing field inspections pre-construction to ensure completion of make-ready and existing aerial facilities owned by various power

l Working with internal and external stakeholders ensuring quality expectations and timetables are met

l Verify utility measurements on existing utility poles to prepare pole attachment applications for submission to governing utilities

l Coordinate with various power and communications entities to devise a plan that allow clients to construct facilities in a cost effective and satisfying manner

l Provide field information to the permitting offices to ensure that permits and applications required to make ready and construction are filed accurately and timely

l Provide regular project status reports to the Project and Construction Managers and Community Liasions, including weekly status reports

l Responsible for coordinating with others to ensure the completion of make-ready work of existing aerial facilities owned by various power, telephone and CATV companies

Monitors schedules and timeline production noting possible delays/issues and addressing proactively

* Professional Engineer (PE) certification OR EIT

* Bachelor's or Associate's degree in engineering or related field
* High School Diploma or equivalent

* Valid Driver's License and ability to pass an MVR and background check

* 3+ years of FTTX/telecommunication network Make Ready Engineering and Pole Loading experience

* Strong aerial and underground fiber experience

* ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and MS Excel software experience required

* Knowledge of FTTX, utility attachments, ROW permitting, material management, construction, quality control, reading and interpreting construction prints

* Background in power, construction, or telecommunications

* Experience with Pole Attachment Agreements preferred

* Ability to travel to various project locations nationwide
