AP Specialist

AP Specialist

Location: Herndon, VA - Position will be hybrid

Responsibilities:

• AP Specialist will make phone calls to follow up on utility bills
• AP Specialist will be assisting with reporting (i.e. payment batching)
• 2 days/week - will assist with AP cash applications
• AP Specialist role will be the backup to Senior AP Specialist and be assigned to a bank
• AP Specialist role will support full cycle AP- not processing (client has an outsourced team that processes AP). Position will be doing the cleanup and understanding the cleanup cycle (volume = 5 invoices/week)
• AP Specialist will call vendors when necessary to validate bank accounts
• AP Specialist will clean up aging
• Additional tasks within AP will also be assigned

Requirements:

• 3+ years of AP experience
• Strong Excel skills - pivot tables, v lookups
• NetSuite software experience is a plus but not required
• Degree is a preferred (minimum of an Associate Degree) but not required
• Real estate or project accounting experience would be a plus but are NOT required
