The Hillside Boutique Hotel is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Room Attendant to join our team. As a Room Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay by maintaining the cleanliness and organization of their rooms.

Responsibilities:

- Clean and maintain guest rooms to the highest standards of cleanliness and tidiness

- Change linens and towels, make beds, and restock amenities

- Vacuum, dust, and polish furniture and fixtures

- Ensure that all appliances and electronics are in working order

- Report any maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate department

- Respond to guest requests and inquiries in a timely and professional manner

- Maintain a positive and friendly attitude towards guests and colleagues

- Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field preferred

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds

- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed

Requirements

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education & Experience: •High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.

Physical requirements:

  • Flexible and long hours are sometimes required. Weekends & Holidays.
  • Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly needing to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to stand during the entire shift. General Requirements:
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service oriented manner.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests. •Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service oriented manner.
  • Attend all hotel required meetings and training.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Presidian's Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform, nametag, and footwear.
  • Comply with Presidian's Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must be able to understand and apply complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
  • Must be able to cross-train in other hotel related areas.
  • Must be able to maintain the confidentiality of information.
  • Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
  • Maintain a warm, friendly, and positive attitude at all times.
