**Summary:** The Route Merchandising Specialist drives a company vehicle over an established route, l oading, delivering and properly merchandising products such as snacks, soft drinks, fresh food, coffee, coffee supplies and other miscellaneous items to replenish vending machines and markets to customer locations contracted by Burch Food Services. The driver maintains vending and related equipment, minimizing spoilage, and working with their supervisor to develop and implement plans to properly service vending customers. The Route Merchandising Specialist is the face of the company and must project a professional and positive image of the company at all times while maintaining and building excellent client and customer relationships.

**Summary:**

The Cafeteria Attendant is responsible for foodservice (prep, cook and service) and cashiering duties. This position is also responsible for sanitation duties in accordance to company, local, state and federal guidelines.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

* Helps prepare and cook foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods and desserts. Helps prepare and deliver catering orders.

* Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.

* Operates and cleans equipment, utensils and work area per departmental procedures.

* Responsible for inventory control by maintaining par levels and utilizing FIFO.

* Communicates any problems to management.

* Follows food safety guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply according to federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations.

* Completes all required documentation, reports and logs as required.

* Performs cashier duties using the POS system. Follows cash control procedures.

* Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service. Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications:**

* Experience in foodservice retail.

* Food safety knowledge.

* Ability to follow recipes

* Ability to work standing for full shift. Must be able to lift 30 lbs.

* Food protective attire must be worn (hair nets, gloves, beard nets, uniforms, aprons).

* Customer Service skills.

* POS and cash register skills.

* Able to work with a team and independently depending on the task assigned.

* Subject to a background check, pre-hiring drug test and random drug screening throughout their time of employment.

* Ability to work as needed in cold temperatures: (Coolers: 35F to 40F / Freezers: -10F to 0F)
