What you'll do...

About the Position and Team:

The position will provide accounting support for Walmart's Technology Organization including assessment of technology purchase contracts (sof t ware, hardware, professional services) to determine accounting treatment , consultation with business partners for new business initiatives, monthly close responsibilities, and review of account reconciliations .

You'll make an impact by:

• Providing accounting consultation to Finance Partners and other business partners on all accounting matters in according to global accounting policies.
• Being responsible for accounting decisions related to month-end and quarter-end financial reviews.
• Providing accounting support to the processes that impacts segment financial statement flows.
• Supporting Financial Reporting with Quarter and Year-End external reporting requirements.
• Performing timely account reconciliation reviews ensuring appropriate actions are taken in accordance with the Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation policy.
• Driving transformation and simplification in alignment with the Global Controllership Pillars.

• You have demonstrated technical accounting experience .
• You are experienced in Month-end close.
• You have knowledge of how high-level accounting impacts business decisions.
• You have demonstrated the ability to set up/improve accounting processes.
• You have demonstrated proficiency in working cross-functionally.
• You have demonstrated excellent ability to interface with and influence executives.
• You're stimulated by challenges and are ready t o operate in Matrix organization with large volume/values of data .
• You are familiar with accounting software including SAP , Blackline, etc.
