Director of Philanthropy

Developing and implementing fundraising strategies:

You will develop and implement fundraising strategies that align with Fellowship Halls mission and values, and that are effective in generating the necessary funds to support the organizations activities. Identifying potential donors and funding sources.

You will identify potential donors and funding sources, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and government agencies, that are aligned with the organizations mission and values, and that are likely to support its activities.

Building and maintaining relationships with donors and funders:

You will build and maintain relationships with donors and funders with all board of directors, ensuring that they feel engaged and connected to the organizations mission and activities, and that they are provided with regular updates on the impact of their contributions. This includes presenting fundraising plans and performance metrics to the Board of Directors and CEO.

Organizing fundraising events and campaigns:

You will organize fundraising events and campaigns with the assistance of volunteers, including online fundraising campaigns, that generate awareness of the organizations mission and activities, and that encourage donations and support.

Collaborate with the marketing team:

You will work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute effective donor communications and marketing materials. This involves developing a compelling message that resonates with potential donors, creating donor recognition programs, and crafting targeted appeals that drive donations.

Ensuring compliance with fundraising regulations:

You will ensure that the organization complies with all applicable fundraising regulations, including those related to donor privacy, tax regulations, and charitable solicitation laws.

Monitor and Analyze Fundraising Data:

You will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing fundraising data to evaluate performance and adjust strategies as needed. This involves tracking donor engagement and retention rates, analyzing revenue streams, and making data-driven decisions that help the organization achieve its fundraising goals.

Overall, as the Director of Philanthropy, you will play a critical role in ensuring that Fellowship Hall has the necessary funds and resources to support its mission and activities. You will develop and implement effective fundraising strategies, build relationships with donors and funders, organize fundraising events and campaigns, and provide fundraising training and support to staff members and volunteers.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in nonprofit management, business administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a proven track record of success in major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, and special events.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write compelling donor communications and marketing materials.

Strong leadership and management skills.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, Board members, and volunteers.

Experience with fundraising software and donor databases.

A deep commitment to the mission and values of our organization.
