The Design Engineer, reporting to Engineering Manager, is responsible for all facets of the product lifecycle. The Design Engineer will work with all departments to create and continuously improve our products to exceed our customers expectations.
Education/Experience
BS in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering or equivalent is required
3+ years of engineering experience - design and manufacturing of large equipment preferred
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
Creo & Windchill software knowledge very beneficial
Project Management skills an asset
Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics and electrical circuits beneficial

Understanding of metal and plastic fabrication techniques

Responsibilities
Actively participate in all phases of product development
Develop new computer models
Use the change management process to maintain computer models and drawings
With R&D team build and test experimental machines
Analyze and refine designs
Work with internal departments, outside vendors and customers to create design solutions
Look for areas to improve quality, cost, and equipment features
Follow internal standards and policies
Promote safety in the workplace
Work Conditions
Primarily a typical office working environment
Work is performed in a combination of environments some requiring Personal Protective Equipment
Environments may include exposure to noise, dust, odors, fumes and oils
