Description

Job Summary:

Sells lift tickets, passes and retail items, and rental equipment to guests; acts as first contact for guests; answers a wide variety of questions regarding Skibowl and Mt. Hood area and uses a computerized tracking system for retail equipment rentals and cash handling.

Essential Functions
  • Ability to use computerized ticket selling program accurately and effectively.
  • Direct guests and employees to desired locations and answer general information questions accurately.
  • Answers telephones/radios and responds to or transfers calls accordingly and in a timely manner.
  • Set up, stock, clean, and organize retail stores as needed.
  • Complete knowledge of Skibowl and surrounding areas.
  • Follow proper cash handling procedures.
  • Maintain the highest safety standards and code compliance for guests and staff daily.
  • Other duties as requested by Manager, Senior Team, or VP/GM
Qualifications

Requirements
  • Must display a positive attitude and exhibit willingness to work.
  • Familiar with excel programs and sign making.
  • Retail experience.
  • Prior cash handling experience
  • Must be willing to adhere to the appearance code of the department.
  • Must be able and willing to work in a small area for long periods of time.
  • Must possess or be willing to acquire knowledge of basic resort information.
  • Must be able to think creatively to answer unforeseen questions and solve problems.
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs. if needed.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Must be able to workdays or nights sometimes odd/long hours as well as Holidays and weekends.
  • Proficiency with computers/various software/computer systems programs
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Problem solver, team leadership skills
  • Resort experience preferred.
  • Team player - be flexible and open to new ideas and changing priorities.
Other Skills/Abilities:
  • Help in other departments as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Look out for all Skibowl/H-Management/Mt Hood Management property and assets.
  • Address any issues as they occur or inform the appropriate dept manager.
  • Assist Guests.
  • Work closely with multiple departments.
  • Able to facilitate and satisfy displeased guests.
