Must be able to understand and follow safe work practices and procedures.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESWorks from engineering drawings, sketches, and other specifications, plus verbal instructions.Positions and secures parts using jigs and fixtures as appropriate.Sketch piping systems for repair or new installation.Prepare and fabricate piping systems for weldingPiping system repairs such as valve and other component replacements.Properly assemble and torque bolted flange assemblies.Efforts Demanded: Lifting up to 50 lbs., frequent walking, bending, stooping, balancing, ascending and descending ladders, operating various mobile equipment, pulling, crouching, twisting and reaching. Plan, organize and carry out a major pipe and repair or installation jobsMust be able to work in unison with other craftsmen to accomplish job objectives.Knowledge of SAP preferredAbility to plan mechanical workEDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED required. Craft NCCER or equivalent with minimum of four years' experience preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLSPossess good communication skills for interaction with all chemical plant employees.
