The Senior Staff Accountant will have the following responsibilities:

- Perform various accounting tasks such as journal entries and account reconciliations.

- Review and reconcile intercompany accounts monthly.

- Prepare financial statements for sub-entities, events, and projects.

- Assist Accounts Payable by coding invoices before processing and reconciling the A/P sub-ledger to GL.

- Generate weekly cash requirements based on actual versus budgeted cash.

- Audit employee expense reports, download reports from Concur, and code them to proper cost centers.

- Process inter-company settlements.

- Review and reconcile invoices using 3-way match to ensure proper matching to purchase orders and receipts.

- Prepare accrual listings for month-end closing as necessary.

- Reconcile monthly corporate credit cards.

- Maintain files and documentation in accordance with company policies.

- Work with auditors during interim and year-end audits, addressing any questions regarding financial statements and providing necessary information.

- Assist with special projects as required.

Qualifications:

- 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a consumer products company.

- BA/BS degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables).

- Experience with SAP is preferred.

- Strong organization, documentation, and communication skills.

- Ability to think critically and work with minimal supervision.

- Time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deliverables.

- Proactive identification and implementation of opportunities for continuous improvement.
