Job Title: People Success Associate

Reports to: People Success Lead

Location: Goleta, CA (Hybrid)

The Role

The People Success Associate is responsible for managing the day-to-day execution and ongoing evolution of critical employee facing processes as well as providing guidance to managers and employees on the employee lifecycle and People & Experience (PX) policy and procedure interpretation. This position acts as an escalation point for employee and manager inquiries as well as provides subject matter expertise on transactions and processes. The People Success Associate provides consultative support and drives high impact employee-focused, easy-to-use services that are consistent, optimize the customer experience, and drive business impact.

Your Impact

The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:

Communication/Escalated Inquiries

  • Provides high-level customer service to all internal and external customers across all levels and business lines.
  • Responds to escalated questions regarding PX practices, procedures and tools.
  • Provides day-to-day support and guidance to People Success Coordinator on transactional and administrative functions.
  • Collaborates and liaises with various stakeholders and PX COEs to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Maintains and updates People Success content on internal SharePoint site.
Shared Service Administration
  • Provides consultative support with full-cycle employee transactions, from onboarding to offboarding, and other People Success program administration as needed.
  • Program support for Tuition Reimbursement, Corporate Responsibility programs (solar/hybrid vehicle reimbursement and alternative commute programs), Service Awards and Employee of the Quarter.
  • Provides general support, clarification, assistance on HRIS processes and troubleshooting as needed. Partners with HRIS to resolve, and/or escalates as appropriate.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the job description library, including regular audits.
Operations & Compliance
  • Manages compliance with labor posting requirements for existing, future, and temporary work locations.
  • Manages background check assessment and adjudication process
  • Supports with report requests and other compliance reporting, escalated unemployment claims, and policy-related employee inquiries.
  • Conducts audits and regular reviews of HR records, policies, and procedures to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Leads employee file audits and compliance.
  • Supports employment authorization process, to include I-9 reverification and audits, visa record keeping, and self-sponsored visa employee tracking and communication.
  • Collaborates with HR Business Partners and other stakeholders to address work location requests, compliance issues, resolve inquiries, and provide guidance on HR-related matters.
  • Supports PX Operational projects, aiming to drive PX process efficiency as well as employee experiences with PX.

We'd love to hear from people with
  • 2+ years of experience in HR operations, compliance, or related field.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related software applications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, including intermediate (or higher) excel experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of audiences at all levels in and outside of the organization.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational skills.

$29 - $31/hour

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
