A pharmaceutical distributor is seeking a highly motivated and meticulous manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of their distribution center. The Distribution Center Manager will be responsible for the overall management and coordination of activities in the distribution center. This includes managing staff, ensuring efficient operations, maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and optimizing processes to meet business goals. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of distribution operations, and a commitment to excellence. This person should also have experience operating in a compliance or protocol-controlled background.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Operational Management: Oversee daily operations of the distribution center, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of pharmaceutical products. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational goals are met. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise distribution center staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities for team members. Ensure staff adherence to company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. Inventory Control: Control inventory levels by ensuring physical counts are conducted and reconcile any difference with the data storage system. Conduct regular inventory audits and implement corrective actions as necessary. Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including FDA, OSHA, and other local, state, and federal guidelines. Maintain a safe working environment by conducting regular safety inspections and training programs. Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs. Utilize technology and automation to streamline distribution center operations. Lead continuous improvement initiatives and promote a culture of innovation. Customer Service: Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment to meet customer expectations. Resolve any operational issues in a prompt and professional manner.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in distribution center management, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry. Strong knowledge of distribution operations, inventory management, and logistics. Proven leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills. Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Must be able to obtain required industry related certification.
