3rd Shift Maintenance Technician

2nd/3rd Shift Maintenance Technicians Join our team as a 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician, responsible for managing both emergency work and preventative maintenance to ensure smooth production operations. Work during the 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM shift, with the opportunity for overtime and every other Saturday at time and a half pay. Responsibilities Maintain the mechanical and physical integrity of production equipment. Conduct preventative maintenance on all assigned plant equipment, including service, repair, or replacement of gearboxes, bearings, chains, and belts. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, particularly 480volt/3phase systems. Work with hydraulics and pneumatics to repair cylinders and solenoids, using blueprints as necessary. Ensure production downtime is minimized due to mechanical failure. Assist mechanics and first shift production departments with machine repair and equipment troubleshooting. Operate maintenance shop equipment safely and efficiently. Follow all safety and housekeeping procedures. Perform other duties as assigned, including lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally and bending or twisting as needed. Experience in repairing hydraulics and pneumatics. Industrial maintenance experience with conveyors. Strong electrical repair and troubleshooting skills for 480volt/3phase systems. Great attitude with a team mentality and positive outlook. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Experience in food manufacturing maintenance. Any additional PLC experience is beneficial. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a food manufacturing facility with around 400,000 sq. ft. of space. The environment is clean and temperature-controlled, meeting all FDA requirements. Most of the facility is maintained at 55 degrees, with some areas at cooler temperatures. A supportive team environment ensures that employees look out for each other. Standard steel-toed boots are required, with some liquid resistance preferred. The facility houses over 500 employees and produces frozen food for grocery stores across the U.S. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of HOLLAND, Michigan. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $67600.00/yr. Retirement Program Benefits 401(k) Plan: Immediate participation.
