VoltaGrid is a mobile turnkey power generation and distribution solution that helps our clients reduce costs through improved efficiency, reduced fuel consumption, and power load optimization.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Design and review of medium/low voltage electrical power generation, distribution and microgrid systemsPreparation of electrical documentation including Short Circuit, Arc Flash and Coordination, Power System, Grounding, Load Flow, Harmonics, Fault studies, and Transient studies using software such as ETAP/SKMPreparation of other documentation including area classifications, drawings and reports, fugitive emissions studies, single line diagrams, and electrical BOMs as well as reports associated with electrical system studiesDevelop and maintain technical documentation related to electrical systemsProvide engineering support to other departments as neededEducational and Other Requirements::Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum 12 years of cumulative experienceMinimum of 8 years of experience with medium voltage power generation system design (to include distribution line design)Minimum of 5 years of experience performing electrical studies with ETAP/SKMThorough knowledge of applications, electrical codes, and standards (IEEE, NEC, NFPA, API, etc.)Experience with Power Generation Controls and AutomationExperience with programming Digital Multifunction RelaysExperience developing relay logic, electrical protection, and coordination schemesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWillingness to learn new technologies and skillsWillingness to learn and adapt to changing technologies and industry practicesPreferred Qualifications:Professional Engineer (PE)Master's degreeExperience with electrical systems design in the oil and gas and/or mining industriesExperience in the installation, operation, or troubleshooting of industrial automation equipmentThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
