Key Responsibilities:

  • General Ledger Management:

    • Maintain and reconcile all general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
    • Conduct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
  • Financial Reporting:

    • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Prepare and review various financial reports and analysis to support management decisions.
    • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
  • Reconciliation:

    • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other balance sheet accounts on a regular basis.
    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or unusual transactions.
  • Internal Controls:

    • Ensure all accounting practices adhere to internal controls and regulatory requirements.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Audit Support:

    • Assist in the preparation for external and internal audits.
    • Provide necessary documentation and support to auditors during the audit process.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable:

    • Support the accounts payable and receivable processes as needed.
    • Ensure accurate coding, matching, and posting of transactions.
  • Special Projects:

    • Participate in special projects and initiatives to improve processes and systems.
    • Provide support for ERP system implementations and upgrades.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in general ledger accounting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
