Workers' Compensation Claims Manager | Remote

Our client, an A Rated Insurance Carrier, is expanding their Workers' Compensation business in the Western Region and seeking to add a Workers' Compensation Claims Manager. This person will be responsible for hiring and developing a team of Workers' Compensation Claims Adjusters (with a heavy emphasis in California). In addition, the Claims Manager will focus on cost containment, ensuring appropriate and timely reserving and leveraging innovative tools to address the specific requirements of each workers' compensation claim. This individual would have the ability to work remotely

  • Maintain a diary for all open claims in the unit and review for proper handling.
  • Comprehensive assessment of laws, licensing/regulatory requirements and the implementation of processes and procedures in specific jurisdictions.
  • Work closely with other carriers, reinsurers and employers through reviewing and sending Plan of Action reports.
  • Attend client insight meetings and audits to ensure all requirements are met.
  • Create and maintain library of resource materials.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of California Workers' Compensation claims experience
  • 5+ years of Claims Management/Leadership experience
  • Must possess California Experienced Adjuster Designation
  • Insurance Carrier experience is highly preferred
  • Experience handling or overseeing PEO accounts is a huge plus
  • Bachelor's Degree strongly desired
Salary/Benefits:
  • $130,000 to $158,000+ annual base salary plus Bonus
