As a member of our team you'll enjoy excellent benefits, opportunities for growth, and an encouraging culture that supports work / life balance.Summary: Ensure all material going in and out of the yard is handled in an organized and safe way.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Transfer material from the yard to warehouse.Communicate all stock needs with department supervisors.Ensure proper needed material is stocked.Operate forklift in a safe and efficient manner.Complete a pre use inspection on forklift daily prior to operating the liftComplete all paperwork as needed to maintain proper inventory levels.Assist in unloading in coming deliveries as needed.Keep yard clean and organized.Comply with all company policies and proceduresConsistently meet acceptable attendance and punctuality expectations.Complete all duties assigned within and outside of normal job scope.Demonstrate a commitment to the quality improvement process and the philosophy of continuous improvement, identify and respond actively and with sensitivity to the needs of all customers.Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Minimum one year as a forklift operatorOrganizational skillsAttention to detailEfficient and able to work safelyStrong team work ethicAbility to work outside in all weather conditionsTakes pride in quality of workKnowledge of building materials used in residential construction.Other Requirements:High School degree or equivalentValid driver's license and reliable vehicle requiredWhy Clayton?A Berkshire Hathaway Company - an integrity-based organization offering unlimited career growth opportunities.Full-time team members have the flexibility to create their own health, dental, and vision benefits package.
