Collins Aerospace has an immediate opening for a Labor Relations Partner (LRP), supporting the Interiors Business Unit. You will serve as the liaison for the Seating and Aftermarket businesses to the local union. The Labor Relations Partner plays a key role in maintaining positive employee relations, resolving disputes, and ensuring compliance with labor practices. By closely partnering with both HR Business Partners and the Employee & Labor Relations Center of Excellence, LRPs strive to enhance workplace harmony and promoting a productive work environment. The best LRPs are courageous, creative problem-solvers with strong emotional intelligence. They're comfortable operating in ambiguous situations and are known for their masterful collaboration skills.

What You Will Do:
  • Manage labor relations issues for multiple sites
  • Advise Supervisors and Managers in performance and behavioral management processes
  • Train and equip Supervisors and Managers on positive employee relations strategies at the site level
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships
  • Communicate effectively with multiple levels of leadership from early career employees and executives
  • Perform organizational health assessments to identify workplace strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats and partner on action plan to prioritize and mitigate risk
  • Conduct investigations and make disciplinary recommendations, when needed
  • Collaborate with, and occasionally lead, other functions such as Safety, Global Trade, Ethics, Security, and Legal on complex Labor Relations issues
  • Interpret and advise on local process guidelines (i.e. rehire eligibility, privacy practices, accommodations, termination guidelines, etc.)
  • Embody, influence and drive the Collins culture
  • Develop and deploy best practices and tools for the LRP network across all business functions
  • Design and maintain a record retention process for all necessary labor relations documentation at the site level
  • Conduct effective presentations and facilitate meetings
  • Create and deploy a reporting structure to meet internal and external obligations
  • Ability to travel up to 10%; bi-monthly between North and South Carolina

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position
  • Experience working with data in Microsoft Excel to manipulate spreadsheets and reports
  • Prior contract administration or labor practitioner experience
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • This position is located in Winston Salem, NC; candidate must be local or willing to relocate
  • Direct Labor Relations experience
  • Experience developing and effectively leveraging relationships in a matrixed environment
  • Experience coaching, consulting, and influencing leaders
  • Experience with conflict resolution and mediating between parties
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
