About the Role: The Industrial Engineer finds ways to prevent waste and inefficiency in production processes. Designs efficient systems that integrate workers, information, machines, energy and materials to manufacture products. Designs, develops and maintains manufacturing routes to maximize effectiveness, efficiency and space. Review production schedules, process flows, engineering specifications, orders and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures and activities. Create design, production standards and processes which maximize efficiency, reduce waste and meets quality control standards in partnership with management and staff. Estimate production costs, cost saving methods, and the effects of product design changes on expenditures for management review, action and control. Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency. Develop, and implement process improvements and technological upgrades. Design control systems to minimize and resolve production issues and project costs. Coordinate and implement quality control objectives, activities and/or procedures to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability and/or minimize costs. Provide training to management and staff on new and existing processes. Create work instructions and manuals for staff to reference as needed. Ensure the company complies with all industry standards for safety while meeting design standards and guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned What you need to succeed: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent. Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of industrial engineering experience within a relevant manufacturing environment.
