Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Participate in a wide variety of duties involved with maintaining the building and grounds in a clean, orderly safe and sanitary condition. Change air filters in unit vents, replacing broken or wet ceiling tiles. Maintain floors, walls and furniture in a clean condition by washing, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming; scrubbing and waxing. Periodically wash bleacher seats. Wash windows using ladder or long-handled brushes. Clean washbowls, toilets and urinals; refill containers with towels, tissue and soap. Patch and paint walls Move chairs, desks, tables, pianos and equipment as directed. Set up chairs for special meeting and sporting activities. Move garbage and trash containers to designated areas for pick-up. Assist truck drivers to unload supplies and deliver to storage areas. Replace light bulbs, fuses, do minor carpentry work using 6`-14` ladders, high lift or extension ladder . Unlock doors in the morning and check building before leaving to maintain security. Operate heating/cooling units (HVAC) using computerized key controls. Assist in the cafeteria daily i.e.: mopping floors, washing walls, empty trash cans etc. Maintain grounds by mowing grass with hand or power mower, trimming shrubbery, sweeping sidewalks, removing snow, raking leaves, cleaning playgrounds and lining athletic fields. Specific duties will vary depending upon the location assigned but generally the duties listed are indicative of the skill levels required and the physical demands of the job. All other duties assigned by supervisor.
