Manage and reconcile the subsidiary ledgers to ensure balances are accurately reflected in the general ledger; analyze data and reclassify journal entries as needed within the General Ledger and coordinates necessary corrections in the subsidiary ledger. Validate financial balance sheet accounts and bank reconciliations for accuracy to ensure all documentation corresponds correctly. Carry out month-end close process by following internal procedures and protocols; including but not limited to accruals, journal entries, settling suspense and clearing accounts. Manage corporate credit cards and reconciliation process in accordance with the Company’s spending policy; make payment on credit accounts. Prepare checks and check registers; maintain accurate records of all vendor payments. Prepare personal property tax returns, business licenses, census, annual reports etc. Manage the preparation, issuance, and reporting W-9s, 1099s, and other Annual Government Forms. Monitor tax liabilities and requirements: ensure income, payroll, and other tax liabilities are paid timely in compliance with federal, state, and local government agency requirements. Oversee the fixed asset system for accounting, processing, and recording of assets (tangible and intangible).
