Sante Health System is seeking an exceptional Medical Assistant to join our team in Fresno, CA at one of our busy medical sites, Women's Specialty Fertility Center (WSFC). This role is responsible for assisting in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma/GED equivalent.
  • Graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants.
  • Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus

  • Excellent attendance and strong work ethic are a must

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Performs selected nursing and administrative duties, such as referrals and authorizations.
  2. Prepares patients for examination and treatment. Takes patient vital signs.
  3. Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
  4. Gives injections, applies splints and dressings.
  5. Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization.
  6. Assists physicians in preparing for minor surgeries, physicals.
  7. Screens telephone calls for referral to physician or provider.
  8. Relays physician communications to patients by phone or mail.
  9. Provides general information on departmental policies and procedures.
  10. Maintains patient files, records, and other information.
  11. Compiles and condenses technical and statistical data for reports and records.
