Contract Duration: 18 Months
Required Skills & Experience
4 + years of Hands-on experience as a SAS Administrator of the 9.4 suite in a Linux environment
performing system monitoring, log analysis, performance analysis, performance turning and capacity planning (Version SAS 9.4).
3 + years of Hands –on experience as a
SAS Grid Administrator of the 9.4 suite in a Linux environment
(Version SAS 9.4 and LSF 9x and 10x) good knowledge on LSF, Grid Manager.
1 + years of hands-on experience administering in SAS Visual Analytics Environment (Version SAS 9.4).
Understand Linux commands that will enable to monitor SAS jobs, ability to move around in a Linux environment as required for basic functioning of SAS and a good understanding of how Linux and SAS are integrated.
Knowledgeable on schedulers like Cron, Autosys & SAS schedule manager.
Thorough understanding of SAS products and how they work together in an environment.
Sas data sources connectivity to the following Hadoop, Teradata, Oracle & SQL server.
Experience in trouble shooting SAS platform and client issues to root cause.
Working knowledge of the SAS Management Console (SMC) includes creating Users, Groups and Roles, Creating and securing folders, monitoring logs from within SMC, define servers and changing servers’ definitions and creating SAS, RDBMS libraries.
Working knowledge of SAS configuration files such as autoexec, configuration, and environments files.
Strong analytical, communication, teamwork, problem solving skills.
5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
What You Will Be Doing
Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Specialty Software Engineering.
Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale, or longer-term Specialty Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables.
Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
