Job Summary: We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Distribution Manager to oversee the efficient movement and processing of products within distribution center. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with excellent communication skills and a proven track record of driving process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspire and motivate team members to achieve objectives while maintaining a sense of urgency and exceeding performance expectations.
  • Lead the hiring, training, and performance management processes for warehouse staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate exceptional multitasking abilities and proactive follow-up skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Drive forward-thinking initiatives to influence and inspire change, fostering effective communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to work methods, procedures, and staffing to ensure accurate and timely product movement and processing.
  • Optimize storage layout for maximum efficiency and alignment with inventory needs.
  • Monitor daily operations, identifying and addressing concerns or opportunities promptly.
  • Develop supervisor leadership through mentorship, coaching, and training initiatives.
  • Manage inventory accuracy for Finished Goods, Raw Materials, and receiving processes.
  • Analyze and resolve flow interruptions promptly to minimize disruptions.
  • Implement process improvement initiatives to drive year-over-year efficiency gains.
  • Develop space utilization plans to meet cost and service standards.
  • Establish procedures to ensure the efficient operation of material handling equipment.
  • Monitor metrics and processing flow accuracy to meet daily order commitments.
  • Inspect warehouse and equipment regularly, coordinating repairs and replacements as needed.
  • Maintain effective communication with department heads to ensure coordination of activities across functions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university OR 7 years of relevant experience as Distribution Manager
  • Proficiency with automated warehouse management systems (WMS) and platforms, with preference given to SAP inventory software experience.
  • Strong ERP/MRP, WMS, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in mathematical operations and data interpretation.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to non-standardized situations.
