Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain current knowledge and consistent compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Gramm?Leach?Bliley Act (GLBA), and other banking regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures related to the position. Understand and keep up to date on regulatory loan compliance, state laws, bank credit policy, internal procedures, consumer disclosures, and any overlapping areas such as TRID, RESPA, HMDA, and related requirements. Serve as a reference point to lending staff regarding loan processes and system duties. Deliver quality of service as defined by departmental standards. Perform quality assurance of all loan files to ensure each file meets banking lending policies, procedures, regulatory, and compliance requirements. Review all documentation, including applications, credit approvals, flood determinations, title commitments, policies, collateral perfection, hazard insurance, business entity documentation, and other relevant documents. Identify missing or incorrect documentation in loan files and seek solutions to correct them. Notify management of unresolved file issues and recommend resolutions. Review, document, and collaborate with appropriate staff to correct any findings for TRID compliance on all Consumer Mortgage disclosures post?closing. Perform additional duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience Loan Quality Review Specialist I One year of prior banking experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic understanding of applicable bank regulations (HMDA, RESPA, TRID, Reg?B as applicable). Must meet accuracy, deadline, and other goals set by management. Loan Quality Review Specialist II At least two years of prior banking experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient understanding of applicable bank regulations (HMDA, RESPA, TRID, Reg?B as applicable) and bank lending policy and procedures. Proficient at reviewing loan file documentation for quality assurance for most loan types and working with appropriate staff for any file corrections while meeting customer service standards set by the department. Proficient at reviewing TRID disclosures for post?close compliance. Consistently meets accuracy, deadline, and other goals set by management. Loan Quality Review Specialist III At least four years of prior quality assurance experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced understanding of applicable bank regulations (HMDA, RESPA, TRID, Reg?B as applicable) and bank lending policy and procedures. Capable of leading trainings for the department on any topic and acting as a resource for other team members. Proficient at reviewing loan file documentation for quality assurance for most loan types and working with appropriate staff for any file corrections while meeting customer service standards set by the department. Proficient at reviewing TRID disclosures for post?close compliance. Capable of training team members.
