Transforming the Future with Convergence of Simulation and Data Paint Digital Engineer Job Summary Our client in Georgetown, KY is looking for a Paint Digital Engineer. This is a contract position. Responsibilities Creating offline robot programs for download in a robotic production process. Coordinate with Regional Paint Engineer study, conduct the trial, evaluate based on safety, quality, productivity, and cost. Support Paint Digital Engineering group to develop reach studies and cycle time analysis for sealer, UBC, and dampening coat robot processes, and for primer, base, clear and interior robot processes. Lead all meetings with related groups, create documentation, and support the plants in the process. Travel to US, Mexico, and Canada pending COVID restrictions to support projects. Report to the Digital Engineering Manager. Perform robot feasibility studies and download programs to determine robots for underbody base coat and top coat. Work with Carrot 3, SolidWorks, Met?lab, 3D imaging, and Kawasaki robots. Basic Qualifications 3D CAD software. Robotics experience. Automotive manufacturing experience. Project management. Experience with automated robotic paint shop applications. Experience with Digital Engineering. Additional related certifications. 2 years technical degree or equivalent work experience. 4 years technical degree or equivalent work experience. Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently. Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge. Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions. Flexible and able to multitask on several different aspects of a project or on multiple projects. Able to take initiative to recommend projects, product improvements, or cost reductions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Paint background.
