The main function of a hardware engineer is to research, design, develop, test computer or computer-related equipment for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use.

A typical hardware engineer is responsible for the manufacture and installation of computer or computer-related equipment and components.

responsibilities:
Job Responsibilities:

1. Develop tools and techniques for post-silicon coverage analysis.

2. Execute coverage collection on pre-silicon simulation and emulation platforms.

3. Comprehend and employ performance monitors and specialized post-silicon hardware.

Skills:

1. Profound knowledge of pre-Silicon DV functional coverage concepts, including expertise in Assertion coverage and structural coverage.

2. Experience with Emulation platforms, particularly in coverage collection on such platforms.

3. Knowledge and experience regarding the use of performance and event monitors in Silicon.

4. Proficiency in Python, C/C++, experience with bare-metal OS, embedded software development, and version control using Git/Perforce.

5. Creativity, excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with analytical and problem-solving abilities.

6. A collaborative team player with attention to detail.

7. Previous experience in EDA tool development.

8. Understanding of AI/ML for data analysis purposes.

Education/Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering required.

- 10+ years experience required.
