RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)
Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle.
Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed).
Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines.
Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
Test operation of machines periodically.
Fix issues that might occur during the shift.
Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws.
Maintains tooling and understands what is critical for operating the machine.
Makes machine adjustments as needed.
Understands the operator interface system.
Ensures tooling is maintained and serviced.
Meet customer specifications and delivery requirements.
Check machine for defects and repair if necessary.
Ensure machine is calibrated and cleaned and work area is always clean and safe.
Confers with lead or supervisor to resolve machining problems.
Perform spot inspections of parts.
Reads and interprets approved blueprints.
Operates over head crane and use of forklift.
Identifying workplace safety hazards
Adhering to safety management, AISC and QMS standards
Adhering to production schedules.
Safety is the top priority while performing any part of your job.
Able to maintain a clean and safe work area.
Knowledge of safe use and handling of power tools.
Able to follow directions to assist in manufacturing process.
Ability to use time and equipment efficiently to help complete projects on time.
Other general shop duties required by the shop or structural foreman.
Inspect all equipment daily to check for leaky cylinders, hoses, or connections.
Job Requirements and Qualifications for CNC Machine Operator:
***MUST Have the ability to read a tape measure and general use of power tools such as drill press, grinder, saw, sanders, and general hand tools. Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions are a must ***
Proven experience as a machine operator.
Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.).
Understanding of production procedures.
Adherence to health and safety regulations.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
Must be detail-oriented and able to focus on small details.
Knowledge of safe use and handling of power tools.
Able to follow directions and work with a sense of urgency.
Forklift experience required.
Excellent communication skills.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, sketches, and Sand work orders.
Must be able to meet deadlines, bend, kneel, squat, and perform repetitive motion for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs of product and material.

Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards - Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
Contribute to team effort by communicating and working well with others, as well as accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Sweeping & cleaning production areas.
Follow all company rules and policies.
Maintain a high degree of integrity with regards to professional behavior and safety.
