Job Purpose: Develops, evaluates, revises, and applies technical quality assurance protocols/methods to inspect and test in-process raw materials, production equipment, and finished products. Ensures activities and items are in compliance with both company quality assurance standards and applicable government regulations. Performs analysis and identifies trends in the inspection of finished products, in-process materials and bulk raw materials, and recommends corrective actions when necessary. Ensures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed. May assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards, such as GMPs and ISO regulations. Evaluates and analyzes the efforts in organizing, documenting, and interpreting inspection support documents and records. Nature of Duties/Responsibilities: Developing and revising reports, procedures and documents including Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA), Quality and Control plans and Contract Review documents. Performing data analysis and trends identification on in-process and finished products, to drive root cause and corrective/preventive actions Participating in the Failure Reporting Analysis And Corrective Action System (FRACAS) root cause and corrective action process for customer returns/ complaints Performing Material Review Board dispositions on suspected material Work with vendors on returned material and SCAR's Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) activities Support internal customer focus team - work with engineering on opportunities for improvement Perform review of Engineering change orders for approval and implementation Support internal and external audits as needed Support the manufacturing floor on quality/process issues Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar technical discipline Minimum 5 years experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment; preferably in the electronic manufacturing industry Six Sigma green projects and lean events Familiar with standards/specifications/regulatory compliance, including government Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact and communicate Ability to read and interpret part specific technical prints and drawings Solid experience with standard quality tools and documentation (SPC, MSA, FMEA, Control Plans, Six Sigma, Pareto Analysis, APQP, PPAP, ISO9001/IATF16949) Ability to translate customer quality requirements into executable plans Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint Familiarity with Agile and/or Oracle Databases and their use is highly desirable Sanmina is an Equal Opportunity Employer – M/F/Veteran/Disability/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity This is an ITAR facility and applicant must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident.
