Forms+Surfaces is looking for an experienced TIG Welder to join our team

Forms+Surfaces designs and manufactures architectural products used in public spaces around the world. From walls and elevator interiors to site furnishings and lighting, our line invites creativity and provides real-world solutions to the challenges our customers face. You'll find the products we make indoors, outdoors, and everywhere in between: from office buildings and airports, restaurants and hotels, to universities, healthcare facilities, parks, and city centers. As a TIG Welder, and part of our Phoenix manufacturing team, you will weld a wide variety of products used in the visible commercial and retail marketplace.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Will primarily weld stainless steel, bronze, brass, and aluminum.
  • Experience with light gauge and ornamental welding.
  • Ensure very thin gauge weld and final appearance of the products are key.
  • Ability to cut material to be welded.
  • Ensure a safe environment by keeping a clean and organized work environment.
  • Work 10-12 hour shifts and/or Saturday availability.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • MUST have minimum of 2 years TIG welding experience.
  • MIG skills are a plus.
  • Experience with light gauge and ornamental welding.
  • Ability to pass a TIG welding test required to demonstrate thin gauge and delicate weld experience.
  • Experience in cutting material to be welded.
  • Basic math skills and ability to read and understand dimensions on drawings.
  • Basic computer navigation and utilization skills a plus.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend, stand reach, pull, lift and carry items
  • Must be able to work in hot/cold weather environment
  • Able to work overtime and/or weekends when needed
  • Maintain an excellent attendance record
