Job Title: Superintendent of Construction

Job Description

This is an opportunity to develop skills with Actalent running various project types including schools, fire stations, multi-family, courts, etc ranging in value from $3M to $5M+.
The Construction Superintendent will manage construction projects for a general contractor/construction management company. They will plan, organize, and oversee project tasks by supervising field staff, sub-contractors, and ensuring overall project safety and quality. The Superintendent will monitor construction activities from the start of the project through completion and will lead communication between trades, disciplines, clients, and office leadership. They will report directly to the Project Manager and Construction Director through daily reporting logs and proactive communication. Projects will include commercial, education/k-12, retail, and industrial sectors, ranging from $3M to $5M. Projects will include pre-engineered steel buildings, structural masonry, steel frame, and wood frame.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with an initial contract duration of 12 Month(s).
Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in the Kalamazoo Area.
Work Environment

Will work on jobsites around the SW Michigan area, including commercial buildings, schools, fire stations, and county buildings. Provided with a company truck, gas card, and cell phone. Weekly Schedule: MON-FRI, 7am-3:30pm. Hourly with OT.
