Spend time on the shop floor, interacting with employees engaged in the manufacturing process Place orders for outside processes

Maintain cost tracking processes to ensure suppliers who provide outside processes are cost competitive in the market If/when internal capacity is exceeded review existing supplier base to determine if this base can meet demands. If not, research/find appropriate suppliers coordinating with QA and Engineering Departments. Continually review outside supplier capacities to meet tight lead time demand for Johnson Screens customers Select suppliers, place orders, maintain records and handle returned goods Search inventory records or warehouse to determine if sufficient materials are on hand. Monitor the movement of materials through the production cycle and expedite as needed. Maintain inventory at planned levels Responsible for timely planning, scheduling of receipts and inventory control of the products and services assigned. Secure and analyze quotations; negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, and recommend suppliers with respect to cost, quality, and delivery competitiveness for assigned responsibilities Familiar with market prices and trends, engineering developments and manufacturing method improvements applicable to assigned responsibilities and advise company activities with concurrence of supervisor. Responsible for approving and qualifying suppliers, authorize purchase orders, interface with other departments to coordinate purchasing efforts to meet ISO standards Create and/or respond to Non-Conforming Reports for products and suppliers Work independently and make decisions that are subject to management approval. Understand and comply with all safety and environmental requirements and company policies of Aqseptence Group, Inc Must know Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality System Manual, Operating and technical procedures and work instructions as it applies to the position. Perform various other duties as assigned by the Manager. Must have basic reading, writing, and math skills Ability to interpret and follow a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedules form with minimum blueprint reading capabilities. Ability to work and interact with all levels of personnel Assist Head of Procurement in improving the SAP implementation regarding the Operation modules where needed. Assist QA Dept. in ISO audits of suppliers as required.

**Qualifications**

* Minimum of 5 years of Purchasing experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting

* Bachelors Degree preferred

* Good verbal communication skills Knowledge of billing practices and controls

* General Computer knowledge Must have basic reading, writing, and math skills

* Ability to work and interact with all levels of personnel

* Mechanical experience a plus
