The Marketing Coordinator provides assistance to the Director of Marketing in the development and implementation of marketing projects in accordance with the hospital strategic plan. The coordinator serves as counsel in matters related to hospital marketing, public and community relations and implements marketing plans, advertising, community/public relations, internal/external communications and event planning for hospital services. Also serves as marketing resource in the development of strategic and marketing plans. The Marketing Coordinator provides oversight of the organization website as well as social media platforms. Additionally, this position coordinates the volunteer and job shadow programs, the senior stars program, and any other special programs of the organization. Qualifications DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Write/edit: News releases, correspondence, presentations/speeches, publications and other articles and collateral material such as brochures, newsletters, direct mail, infographics, promotional items, etc. Manage production (design, writing, editing, distributing) of: Employee publication, physicians' directory, community benefits report, volunteers' publication, physicians' quarterly newsletter, senior stars' publications, and miscellaneous collateral. Manage advertising production, execution, placement and evaluation of effectiveness: * Manages contracted vendors. * Contributes writing, editing and design as needed. * Participates in media channel selections and placement. * Evaluates effectiveness with internal/external clients/audiences. Photography/Videography: Provide photography and videography for production of marketing materials. Service-line marketing: Supports service-line marketing by helping to define target markets, assess customer needs and service quality characteristics, formulating marketing plans to meet those needs and analyzing effectiveness of marketing initiatives. Coordinate and assist in special events such as: Service Line open houses, hospital week observances, seminars, employee-related events (e.g., service awards and other human resources activities) and fundraising functions. Brand management: Monitors and guides the appropriate execution of hospital identity and logos in all media formats - print, electronic, collateral material, vehicles and facilities. Social Media/Website Development: Develop and maintain all social media editorial calendars and monitor outlets including Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and others. Be able to utilize WordPress and maintain and update our website as well as our microsite. Being able to code is also preferred. Job duties are as follows: * Daily review and updating of the hospital website, including events, programs, classes, employment opportunities, breaking news and "news you can use." * Ensure that the website continues to meet identified standards for quality and compliance. * Work with department managers, physicians and other staff as directed, to develop information for web postings. * Assist in the development of e-news subscription opportunities. * Circulate news and articles to e-news subscribers weekly or more often as appropriate. * Update provider directory to ensure that all credentialed providers are included and described accurately in a manner consistent with the provider inclusion policy for the website. * Assist in the identification, procurement and posting of appropriate graphic elements to the website including photos, illustrations, etc. * Work with human resources, medical staff, and other departments as appropriate to educate staff and physicians on the use of hospital's website. * Maintain and post daily on social media outlets utilized by the hospital. * Assist in the implementation of marketing and communication strategies set forth for the website, including market research and web promotion. * Assist in identifying opportunities to automate key internal and external business practices through Internet-based technology. Digital Media/CRM: Assist with implementing and maintaining digital media campaigns. Community relations: * Assists community liaison information and activities. * Continuously submits information about hospital services and events to pertinent local web portals and media outlets * Helps coordinate community benefit meetings and activities. Also keeps up with organizational community benefits database and submit information yearly to the state. * Develop and implement various community surveys for the organization and report on those surveys. * Represents hospital at local functions. Special Programs: * Responsible for coordination of the HCMC Auxiliary program, Junior Volunteer program, Job Shadowing program, and other volunteer programming activities at Henry County Medical Center. * Responsible for the coordination of the Senior Stars Program for those 55 and older including handling data. * Coordinate Bright Beginnings program and marketing communications materials. * Maintains and Coordinates Partners in Your Care program. Provide assistance to media: General inquiries/information, written media statements/quotes, patient condition reports, bios and photos. Manage special projects: As assigned by Director of Marketing and Public Relations and/or Administration. Provide Clerical Support: Assist with maintaining HCMC Find Line, ordering of supplies, and database maintenance. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree, preferably with a marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, business or English emphasis. Strong writing and editing background required. Would prefer three to four years of experience in a communications or marketing department, preferably in the healthcare industry. Must be familiar with computer applications (i.e., Microsoft Word; Adobe InDesign, PhotoShop, and Illustrator; PowerPoint; Excel; Access; Survey Software such as Survey Monkey; Publisher; social media portals such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, Instagram, Meta Business Suite, TikTok,, Snapchat, and HTML). Personable, professional individual with strong communication skills - both oral and written - who is able to advance the organizational goals of the hospital.
